The Countryside Productivity Small Grants scheme Round 2 is now available for all farm types including livestock, horticulture and arable businesses, with a total of £15 million available. The application window opened on 9 July 2019 and closes at midday on 3 September 2019.

Farmers are being encouraged to get their application submitted as early as they can and to check with suppliers that any items of equipment offered can be purchased, installed and capital claim submitted within 150 days of receiving their Grant Funding Agreement.

Applicants can apply for grant funding for a minimum of £3,000 up to £12,000. This is a 40% grant of the standard cost of each item of equipment. Therefore, farmers need to ensure that their application includes equipment that totals a minimum standard cost of £7,500 otherwise their application will be deemed invalid.
